apps to SD

okay I've been trying to figure out how to do this for the last 5hrs and I'm about to give up. I've googled and read 5-6 threads on how to do it, but I can't seem to get it working to save my life. I'm rooted and have MoDaCo's custom ROM installed. If someone could please write and idiot's/detailed step by step guide on how to get it working I would greatly appreciate it (it took me 7hrs to get the thing rooted

). I have no idea what a "terminal emulator" is or anything, I'm a complete noob at linux/android so please speak in terms I can understand. Thanks in advance.
