im getting no recipentant..
every time i send a txt my 3rd reboot this morning

My mom has a Treo Pro and she can't send texts right now. She is in Knoxville, not where you are but maybe it is the service?

Make sure ur WiFi is not on and connected to something, there is a known issue that while connected to WiFi, the hero sometimes tries to send sms and mms through the WiFi connection which is not possible. It will also prevent u from receiving them.

no. it works for about 2 hours after a battery pull... ?

idk wtf it is..
im trying to root and go to madocos rom.
but i cant cd to the desktop in cmd prompt..
not to good with CMD

Move it to c:/androidsdk it will b much easier!! Put recovery and the asroot file in androidsdk/tools will save you sone hassle. too. Look at the tips thread in my Sig n follow the 1st post then the second.

yeah im gonna use the workaround after i root it. im only getting like 6 hours battery life :/

thats the only reason im missing my blackberry tour.. i got 10-12 hours

6 hrs?! I'm 15 w heavy use on an off brand battery! Don't use stock messaging app, maybe that's whats killing ur batt life. Use handcent until devs get sprints fix and incorporte it. I am not kidding I have been on internet in bad coverage for 8 hrs n I have 42% left!

cd to the directory you extracted the sdk into. Then cd into the tools directory.

but what do i type in to get to the place you told me to put them?

i just copied the folder to the c drive. i didnt make an androidsdk folder..

It isn't called androidsdk? Follow the 1st link it was easier for me! Use xda after 1st ends. Also check vid it is helpful!

in c prompt.. i type in adb devices and it jst says list of devices attached. and nothing pops up or shows.. or anything.. did it 3 times..

I'm not at my pc bro which sucks bc I don't know what's going on. U have drivers installed n everything so maybe a box and phone reboot is in order. You'd b surprised how often that will solve problems in the rooting process.

Did you already send a text to sprint? My brother was having the same problem and I told him to send a message to 9999 said ALLOW ALL and now everything is working fine for him...

Don't put your phone in sd mode. That won't work. You will need control of your sd card later.

nah i got it at about 3 am last night. i had to download a different SDK file. then one in the androidspinner(or w/e) link doesnt have the USB drivers in it..

Yea that's why I suggested the other link I had up. I looked for 30 mins for those drivers.
