Text messages from HTC?
 

I got two text messages from HTC (40404). They read as follows

htc: There is still no new information on future updates to Hero. That doesn't mean their won't be updates, just no new info right now.

And

htc: Those of you with the Touch Pro2 on Vodafone, got get your 6.5 update! Let us know what you think http://bit.l/432BDP

Is it normal to have HTC send me text messages?

Were they via text?

That was an HTC update via twitter. Weird if it somehow crossed from twitter into a text.

40404 is the number from twitter. Are you following HTC on twitter? You probably have twitter set to send you updates via text message.

It probably did that as soon as I signed into twitter. Thanks guys, now I know.

Yeah, I think I've noticed that when I start following new people it automatically adds SMS updates. Not a big deal to me.

Yeah you have to go into your Twitter account/settings/notifications and change the way you are notified about tweets. peace-br
