Tethering

I ran into this on another forum.

1. Make sure your device’s data connection is turned on. See “Getting Started With Data Services” to learn
how to turn on the device’s data connection.
2. Connect the device to the computer using the provided USB cable.
3. Press Menu > Settings > Wireless controls.
4. Select the Mobile network sharing check box.

I tested it but I receive an error code 67: Registration Failure. Your PCS Vision username and/or password maybe in correct. Still reading to see if I can fix it.

Weird that they have it blocked, but advertise it on their User guide.

Yea, it sucks. But you can unlock if for what Sprint considers a low price of $45 monthly. PDANet is free if you want only website access or $30 for all capabilities. I find it to be sufficient until this thing is rooted.

Yea, I had to restart the pc and the phone, then I had to set up the phone so the screen didn't turn off while charging. I posted how to do so in my tips/fixes thread.

Did you restart the pc? Phone? Log in on phone first then on computer. I don't know anything about pdanet but that usually solves my problems.

Soft reset is just turning the phone off and back on. You can do this with the power button or by removing and replacing the battery.
