Sprint HTC Hero Text Messaging Problem - Page 4

I am doing some searching on different forums, and this does look like its still an issue.

I noticed it last night when i was getting low on memory, I received about 1/2 of my test text messages.

I'm having the same issue again. I had to flash back to the sprint rom and then reflash to a custom rom to get to work again.

i called sprint a half an hour ago and the lady reset everything in my phone cause of this issue and i asked her will this issue happen again she said no.. so hopefully it doesn't.

Yea but it prob will. I think Sprints SMS is effed anyway. If I miss a message its over, it just won't come in, that makes me angry haha.

EDIT: I hope it doesn't happen again though

I hope it doesn't happen again as well, but just make sure to take a lot of what some of those Sprint reps tell you with a grain of salt. I agree with County, I am sure it will happen again at some point

well its been a day and im still texting and getting text.. so whatever she did worked

My wifes phone is constantly missing pic mail and texts. I want reset the phone but she doesnt want me to and Im hoping the next update is soon and will take care of whatever is going on. Everyday I send her a pic message and she doesnt get it, I tell her to get a Pre like I have. She loves the Hero and is big on texting but it is really a pain lately.

Just a side note, I actually have had this problem with every Sprint phone I've had. Definitely all my WM phones had the problem. I think it depends on the MSID number you get when you activate it. I don't know why some work better, but they do. I had one ported and it worked great! Wish I hadn't changed numbers now.

mine is still running flawless now.. almost 2days since customer service fixed it.. im a texting beast too.. Call sprint they reset everything and it runs fine
