Newsrob Notifications

I've been using newsrob since I received my phone. Great app by the way. The only problem I got is with the notifications. I go into settings and I enable notifications, play sound, flash LED and Vibration. But it doesn't notify me when new feeds are recevied like how the phone notifies you of new text messages and emails. Is anyone experiencing this if so is there a fix to actually receive a notifications from newsrob?
