How long did you wait for it to re-boot? I know it took quite a bit longer than normal for mine to re-boot when I flashed Godzson's taskbar. Was beginning to think it froze up on me as well.... I'm running Fresh 1.1 with nexus boot screen though. Just thought I'd throw that out there...

i waited 10 minutes and I couldn't get past the boot screen...

Ive waited over 15mins but normally it gets past the hero screen screen an have2wait on on the htc boot whoch rarely takes more than 10mins. Ive tried all the taskbars givin each over 15mins minimum. Do these work on gsm heros or jus cdma?

If its taking longer than 5 min or so to boot somethings not right. A normal re-boot for me is only a couple of minutes at most even after flashing a rom. After flashing taskbars its a bit longer than that. Im pretty sure the taskbars you find posted here are are made for cdma since as far I know this forum is exclusive to the cdma hero. As for compatibility, I honestly can't say. Maybe you could pm Godzson for more info on that.

Sorry GSM uses a different file structure than CDMA It will not work.

Reinstalling instant root did not help (already got root access).

How did you DL the file?
Can you access the sdcard from your PC?
If so do you see the zip?


If you downloaded the zip file to your phone then it will be in your download folder so move the zip from the Download folder to the root of the sdcard. If you downloaded to your PC copy the zip to your sdcard.
Then reboot to the recovery screen (Vol. down and Power) then hit home button next scroll down to Flash zip from sdcard. You should see the zip file that you copied from the download folder or PC from your PC.

So, quick question/request. I noticed that the weaponoid taskbar has the default notification pulldown...Wanna tinker for me and make it like the one from fresh 1.1? His is a transparent dark black, with a nice metal styling...

If you can't it is no problem...Maybe I will try my hand at opening and mixing/matching files...haha

The zip is copied from my pc to the root of the sdcard.

I've only got 2 chooses in the recovery screen, it looks like this:

HBOOT
<BACK> FastBoot Mode
<SEND> Simlock

if I press back I get this:
FASTBOOT
<VOL DOWN> HBoot Mode
<MENU> Reset Device
