Re: HTC Hero Forum

well i think this would be an obvious one for them to create, so since there isn't one means they must be indecisive about something, maybe changing the site from basically all winmo, to sharing with android? I dunno, that doesn't really make sense though since there is a Pre forum... hopefully somebody will at least let us know if there will be one or not.

It seems like they could be losing users to other forums already.

Re: HTC Hero Forum

I hope one day we get an HTC Hero forum here. The one over at XDA is geared towards GSM.

Re: HTC Hero Forum

I've been wondering this for awhile now and can't find an answer.

I love the Touch Pro because I loved being able to flash through all the ROMs, make tweaks and so forth. Although, this was all done on a Windows Mobile Phone.

The Hero looks and feels amazing (I got to play around with it in store) but if I can not change ROMs or do as much as I could with the Touch Pro then I would immediately change my mind and stick with my Touch Pro.

Anyone know if this can be done? I notice that PPCG.com doesn't have a specific forum for the Hero yet either, is this reason why?

Currently, there is no way to root the CDMA hero....yet. It's just a matter of time, though. Although, I can say this phone doesn't seem to need much optimization. Plus, with the 7 home screens, and thousands of free apps in the market, you can customize the phone as much as you want.

The only thing that annoys me about the phone right now is the vibration during text messages/phone calls/emails. With my mogul and treo, the vibration would disrupt my heart rhythms (sarcasm). This phone does not have a strong vibration. But that's not important enough to return.
