So far at HF they have one guy saying old SERO worked, and one guy saying he had no luck. The guy who said he was successful ordered through telesales, and the guy who was unsuccessful did not indicate how he acquired his, only that he was activating it via the sprint website.

Also, I agree with the poster who said it's nice here because people don't attack old SERO users for discussing it.

I went to BB and could not get it activated with my SERO. So I took the everything data and with a 10% loyalty plus an employer discount I should be able to get it down to a reasonable $ per month. I have to get those going soon.

Also, my FIMF and CallToHome perks transferred over. I just checked them at Mysprint.com

The guy that said that the old SERO worked, might get a surprise when he receives the phone and tries to activate it. I wish him and all trying this luck.

One thing I didn't like is the fact that this one didn't come with a holster case. Too bad. Have to go online and look for a good one.

Have my Hero in hand now. Just learning how to use the damn thing!!! :D Having a capacitive screen is fantastic, compared to the resistive screens on WM devices. This phone is tiny, too!!! My mogul is a brick compared to this thing.

The notifications bar at the top is awesome. I can be doing anything on the phone, and all it will do is vibrate, chime, and display the icon in the notifications bar. It doesn't freeze the phone for a few seconds, while it's waiting for the text/email/etc to come through.

The screen is super easy to clean. Just a few swipes against your shirt, and it's practically spotless.

Currently, I only have 4 screens with stuff on them, but as I get more and more familiar with the phone, I'm sure I'll have more stuff to put on the screen. I have my home page setup with the stuff I will use the most, the market, sprint nav, voicemail, contacts, text, browser, and camera. I made shortcuts to the toggles for airplane mode, wi-fi, and bluetooth.

Prior to getting the phone, I had uploaded my mobile contacts from my mogul, to my gmail account. The contacts were in a separate folder from my other contacts. I was disappointed when I synced my phone with my google account, it brought over all my email contacts, as well as my phone contacts. So, I just installed the HTC Sync on my pc, and grabbed my contacts from Outlook. That was really easy. I think even a tad easier than going through active sync.

I need to get used to the keyboard, as I am coming from physical keyboards, to virtual only. The portrait keyboard is a little cramped, so I will probably only use it for quick texts like "Ok", and "No". The landscape keyboard is nice. I make a few mistakes, but I think that will smooth out with time. Hap-tic feedback is nice, too.

Web browser is fantastic. It's almost like being on a computer. Pinch to zoom is quick, and lag-free.

Not sure how to switch between programs yet, but I'm learning.

if anyone has any specific questions, ask, and I'll provide some detail.

It's just strange though, that certain phones are ok and others are not. Like, Pre, no, touch pro 2, yes, then hero, no. You would think it would be all or nothing... or maybe that's why the tp2 costs so much.

i am looking to get an everything data family plan and was wondering how you got the 10% loyalty discount and what is your employer discount? also what is FIMF and Call to Home perks? thanks in advance. i currently have family everything messaging 1500 plan with perks such as data on all lines, comes to about 115 a month for all five after all discounts. however, with all the restrictions that they place on new phones, i would like the everything data family plan roughly for the same price and am trying to find ways to stack discounts on top of each other.
