Text backup for HTC Hero (Droid)

Sup fellas,

After doing a thorough search I realize there's still no answer to this question..

There are plenty of text backup apps for the the 'Droid market.. however they're all stored as .xml files and such.

I'm looking for an app that stores the texts in an easy to read format, where I can correctly sort them by date, sender, etc.

Anyone have an answer to this one?

When you reload what you have stored then then texts go right back into this easy format...What exactly are your purposes?, if its so secure texts for viewing later there are other apps for that....

I want to be able to view them on my laptop and edit/browse them that way.

Probably the best way I could think of is to maybe view them through an android emulator on your computer?

xArchive backs up SMS and MMS and Photos to your gmail. so far its the only app i have paid for. i give it a thumbs up.

Try SMS Backup in the market. I use it and love it! (Plus it's free) It automatically backs up your texts to your Gmail account. It even marks them as read and archives them in a texts label for you.

I have to 2nd this. It is free and works really well.
