Re: Plx don't lynch the n00b for asking n00b questions...

Isn't the "prevent phone from sleeping" requirement, only for when the app is actually running? (it only makes sense THAT way)

As in, if you close the app, then your phone will go back to its normal sleep schedule.

I've got tons of apps with that listed as an install requirement, but my battery life is fine.

Re: Plx don't lynch the n00b for asking n00b questions...

Im running fresh 2.0d.but not using apps to sd..and using a cheapy 16 gig card from frys.. i can honestly say my phone has no slowdown or choppyness. always have bout 50 to 80 mb ram free,, but then again im not using sense.. only helix and bettercut for icons.. so that maybe why i have alot of ram free.. but no complaints..fresh 2.0d is the only 2.1 rom for me that is.. thats been totally bug free..and didnt require alot of hacks and such to work right..

not to thread jack but I'm skeptical about running apps2SD since I mount my SD card alot and wouldn't that royally eff up everything since the phone will be accessing part of the card?? Also I heard there really isn't any benefit (outside of the endless app storing space)

You won't lose your apps. A different Part(ition) is mounted. See what I did there?! Haha

The apps I think were at fault were the metal detector & the compass. Total fluff, but really cool nonetheless
Repartitioning will wipe the whole card.

Off topic a bit, but I don't see how you switched to a phone without a keyboard!! Auto correction or not, no way in heck I'm giving up a physical keyboard. Then again I'm a heavy texter/emailer and I don't have the patience to use a on screen keyboard. Best of luck to ya.

Soft keyboard only is fine if you calibrate it and get used to it. I prefer it to a hardware keyboard simply because it saves my thumbs and no chance of buttons failing unless the screen is broken.

While I am in pain in the way similar to yours, I wanted to try android so I got the Hero (for *no offense* the Moment's keyboard looks like a little kids toy)

Wish i could rig up my Touch pro's keyboard to my Hero, hell all the other components are the same
