You know what the crazy thing is, I had to get one of those "Go" phone things about a year ago. You know, a prepaid cell. Well it charged via USB so when I replaced my Diamond I decided to try and use it with it. It worked just fine. The cord is skinnier than the standard HTC charger and probably another foot longer. I currently use it with my Hero just for the fact that it is long enough to reach the middle of the couch so I dont have to sit all the way on the edge. It never causes screen problems for me. Just weird.

Re: Sprint hero pocket dialing

For all the people that said tight pants. I always wear baggy pants. I was wondering if there is an alternative lockscreen available like the droids where you have to trace a pattern on the screen instead of just dragging it down to see if that fixes it.

Re: Sprint hero pocket dialing

BEWARE:

If u use the pattern lock aka throttle lock...

10 failed attempts will lock ur phone. The ONLY way to unlock it is ur google name and pw. Make sure u know this information before installing! Especially if u have a nosey gf! If you have not set up a google name and pw or do not remember it the only way to use ur phone again is a button combo reset or reflash. U will lose any information not stored on ur sd card!

FAIR WARNING!
KEEP UR USERNAME AND PASSWORD IN A SAFE PLACE!

i.e. wallet, purse, jewelry box, email to an alternate email account

Your google name/pw is just the login information for your gmail account you signed in on the phone, correct?

yes...same as the market login too. i find that since people dont ever have to type it bc the phone stays logged in...few remeber what it is.

That seems like a lot of steps to go through for the Hero to be pocket dialing consistently though. Either there's something wrong the Hero's buttons, or the OP wears the tightest pants ever.
I have taken my phone out of my pocket and found it unlocked and in one of my home screen apps before. Same odds as pocket dialing I guess.
