Wav Player?
 
Hi all,
I have had the HTC Hero for about 2 weeks now and have it rooted running Fresh's 1.1.. My only issue is that it will not play .wav files. I know, I know .wav file are sooo passe but I have my office voicemail emailed to me and it comes in .wav format. Any Help?

BTW thacounty, thanks for all the info that you have provided! Could not have done it with out your posts =D>.

Well the Samsung Moment plays wav files in it's Music player, which I just so happen to have and uploaded it here, see if that works for you
I tested it with a WAV file and it worked, I'll attach that one too!

Thanks for the fast reply.. You are correct it the app will play "normal" .wav fies. I found the issue: the .wav file I need to listen to uses the codec GSM 6.10 I guess this is not in the Music App. ](*,)

I did find a work around. There are 2 options explained here:

Also found that if you are using trixbox you can:
Edit /etc/asterisk/vm_general.inc and change
format=wav49|wav
to
format=wav|wav49
This worked!

You're welcome, I too found the GSM fix thing before I posted the Music.zip, I didn't think yours had to do with GSM that's why I didn't post the link, glad you found a solution!
