Also, it has a metric shitload more libraries for apps to call functions from, thus making our phone more capable. Not to mention that fact that 2.1 actually...you know...supports CDMA.

i want it becuase it's overdue and i feel the hero is androids ugly stepchild anymore. dust defects, no flash and no 2.1 anytime soon. i hate to say it but it looks like im going to sell my hero and go back to the pre.

lol i still have my brand new pre sitting in my dresser..i do miss webos.. but android is a fun os.. cant stop ,messing with it..

Haha, I actually put my Pre on my line the other day and updated to 1.4, redid my patches and everything....I got bored quickly.

Everyone wants 2.1 because it's the latest which usually translates (if falsely) to greatest. Bugs will be worked out from previous versions and as we all know new ones will appear. Most talk I hear is because it will support mutli-touch and voice recognition. I'm not so keen on the multi-touch thing, from what I understand it's just basically used to ZOOM, whoop-ti-do... Now the voice recognition I'm interested in, as long as it is more mature than Nuance... I call Nuance a Nuisance because it's ridiculously rudimentary.
