I think it's hideous. Typical MS move to overload it with animations and transitions. If it's true they make us use the Zune software for everything this is a BIG turn off. 'Social madness' is another thing I don't really need. From what I saw today this appears to be a dumb smart phone filled with glitter. I think it will be great for the Web 2.0 kiddies and people that consider themselves geeks because they are on twitter and FB. Coincidentally these people also use hotmail and other online MS products

Re: so whos going back to winmo?

I'm a WinMo turned WebOS turned Android junkie and so far even with the early version of Android on my HERO it's still better than WinMo and WebOS at their current state. WinMo 7 did look boxy and cluttered. After viewing the calendar view I almost threw up because it was just a black background and blue and red lines. I think I can officially say I've given up on Microsoft and won't plan to purchase a future WinMo phone.

Re: so whos going back to winmo?

Any Android version is still better than winmo 7 right now because of the ability to customize. I'll be holding on to my Hero until the Supersonic comes out. Hopefully, the rumors of it having a ssd are true. I mean if the ultimate goal of a smartphone is to become an all-in-one device, then it should at least have over 64 gigs for music and movies.

I am staying put. My belief is that Android is the most and fastest forward moving software out.

It's very pretty, but it's unlikely I will forget the pain and agony of flashing roms/reinstalling apps what seemed like weekly (even with sashimi!), and also how expensive the apps were.

Re: so whos going back to winmo?

Winmo 7 has bombed before release date. How could Microsoft get it so wrong AGAIN??? I mean they took away all the things we liked about wm and added some crap we don't want!!!

Re: so whos going back to winmo?

I'll need to play with one before making a definitive decision. At some point I'll probably carry one for at least a little while, although i'm not sure i'm going to like it as much as say a TP2 with 6.5.3
anyway i'll give it a shot but i don't know if i'll fall back on my Hero or a TP2, i'd be more than happy to pick one up when they get really cheap and shuffle between Android/Win6.5
May also depend on what device gets 4G first, it's unconfirmed but I've heard through my Sprint rep that the first one will be WinMo, not Android

Re: so whos going back to winmo?

I've had PPC's for so long I cannot imagine giving up completely on WM. Though WM7 does seem like a big change (the social networking frenzy does get to me) I wouldn't count it out yet. I had a ZuneHD for awhile and it was actually quite good - my Cowon S9 is king but it was a decent runner-up. And frankly as good as the Sprint Hero is I am just not that crazy over Android. Don't get me wrong, I like Android but I have room for alternatives.
I really do hope the HTC Supersonic shows up at Sprint (w/ AMOLED screen) then I'll like Android even more.

Re: so whos going back to winmo?

i think Microsoft dropped the ball on WM .. even though the new WM7 looks promissing, i dont think it can catch up with android any longer ..Unless android goes belly up i wont go back to WM...
