I am telling you that the client that comes on the phone gives you Push Email. If something is in your inbox it will be on your phone. Real Time. All you have to do is go to hotmail and forward mail to Gmail, then go to your other accounts, except yahoo, and do the same.

ThaCounty is right. With the exception of Yahoo charging for push email all my others accounts are functioning here

why is mine not coming down in "real time"...? i have everything set up right - using the GMAIL app, not the regular HTC mail app - but it seems to be taking a long time for the mail to come down to phone (i.e. i can log in to gmail from laptop and see that new msgs are there, but theyre not on phone even after 30 mins). what am i doing wrong...?

after searching around, seems a lot of people are having same problems: intermittent or no push, no notifications, etc. might be a google server issue...

I have the problem sometimes. I hope 2.1 fixes it.

I hope our 2.1 isn't like the 2.1 expected to go to the droid, with no Live Wallpapers and a different Market Place layout then the Nexus has with 2.1, I know that stuff will find it's way into ROMs I am sure, but it would stink to miss it officially.

Yea it seems droid owners were very let down. I would b too! I'm not sure the processor in the Hero can handle live wps, but I agree, we better get em!

FYI, free Hotmail doesn't let you forward to non-MS email addresses.
