Navigation keeps turning on?

While the phone is charging on my desk or in my pocket.

Only apps I left on was the clock and music, and then later my batter is almost dead, and I have 10 programs including navigation running.

Anyone seen that.

Phone is new, non rooted

The phone is only a few days old, just won it in a contest from Sprint Yahoo, got it Tuesday.

Awake time is now 28min 15% ...

I installed the paid version of advanced task killer and rebooted the phone, seems to be better.

It happened several times today where a bunch of random apps, including Sprint Navigation would spontaneously start while the phone was sitting on the table with the screen off. And that was only minutes after killing all programs with the free version of advanced task killer. phone never left my sight.

The phone would just turn itself on? That's very weird! I suggest going custom very soon haha.

I don't suggest running ATK though. As it is unnecessary.

You are off topic and ur comment is not needed. If u aren't contributing move along.

Oh don't forget you are on a site that is built around putting roms on phones. Flipz had 1000 Downloads of fresh 1.1 in 3 days. And everyone that is root and custom says its faster. Native apps on sd card helps too.

I only edited to stick up for the chefs who keep us going. Otherwise I wouldn't give this crap my time.

The phone was on, but left alone, I didn't touch it.
When I set it down no apps were running. When I picked it up 10 apps including Sprint Navigation were running.

Oh, just in the background? Everyone gets that. There is no reason to kill it, it will boot up faster if you don't. There was an article about how programs in Linux do that, I will see if I can find it. Nothing to worry about, and killing it will only make it run slower in the long run.

ive had the same things happen with my htc hero. i havent rooted it yet but im about to and go with a custom rom. also in the process of developing an app that uses your screen as a scale. lol

The issue I have with it is that it slows down my phone. I start moving between menus or try making a call and it takes forever for it to register any input. Is it me or does this happen to anyone else. Also when i kill the running apps the phone instantly runs faster. I would assume that it affects battery life as well. Yes/No...
