yes i just downloaded pre kitchen do i need to to check the with google box on the auto root

Hmmm...

Then it tells you to check it and flash to 1.2.3 first.

I have a 'with google' phone and did have some problems with 1.5.2, but I'm not sure if they're the same problems that have been reported by others.

Maybe someone else could weigh in.

ok so if i flash that first can i come back and flash it to the other one before loading a custom rom

Listen, the 1.2.3 does not refer to the stock rom build. It is the Heroc version. Just plug your phone into the usb and navigate to autoroot and root it. I have the exact same phone as you and it will work just fine.

If you are rooted, just copy the custom rom, preferably Freshs 1.1, to the root of your sd card. Turn the phone off, hold home + end key and wait til the heroc screen pops up. Should be black background with green letters. Scroll down to apply sd: choose zip, select the custom rom and then hit the home key. It will flash the rom and when finished, return to the main menu, select reboot. DONE.

EDIT: Just to clarify, the kitchen is not for flashing the rom. Just for rooting, adding themes, backing up sms, etc....

Not sure what you mean here.

I was referring to the talk about people on stock going straight to 1.5.2 having some problems.

That is only in regards to the HEROC. It is not talking about the stock rom Build.

Heroc is the image menu that allows you to flash roms, format your sd card, hard wipe internal and external memory ect. It is like a little hack menu. When installed on your device, it is accessed by holding the home key + the power button when you turn your Hero on. 1.2.3 was the original build but then it was updated to 1.5.2. I am running 1.2.3 and it does everything i need to.
