Just won a Hero
 

Someone from the Hero a day contest called me to let me know I won a Hero.
Should get it fedex soon.

Roommate has the Nexus One, and I have had Android on my HTC Touch for a few years 1.0-2.0.1. We'll see how the Hero does.

The contest was between Nov 4th and Dec 15th.

it was "sweepsakes.sprint.com/yahoo-mail" no longer open though.

I actually heard about it here on PPCGEEKS I think.

You had to fill out the form on that site and then check your yahoo email account using the phone. Every day you checked yahoo mail you were entered another time. My phone was already set to do that anyways.

They gave away 30 phones apparently.

Going from android on your Touch to the Hero is going to be night and day. While the Hero currently only has 1.5 on it, *at some point* it will have 2.1. But the capacitive screen will be worlds better than the resistive screen on the touch. Plus, typing should be much improved, both because of the capacitive screen, and the additional .4" of additional screen. It's no nexus one, but it is a good phone, and I have been happy with it.

Exactly! I was actually just out of contract in late Dec. And I'll be premium in few months too! So now I have a good phone and I can still get something else if anything comes out that is better than the Hero.

give it half a year before Sprint has some Snapdragon Android phones on the market.
