Completely reload hero to default and reflash
Here is the issue:
I am having problems with my hero and I want to completely wipe the phone and reload it back to the way I bought it as well as clearing the SD card. Basically hard core stock. Then load Fresh Rom on there, format the SD card for apps2sd, then get it they way I want it with apps and what not. My phone has been locking up and giving me errors and I believe its something I did before the fresh rom and apps2sd was on there. I have the basic knowledge so I just need a simple in order process. Sorry if its a repeat I just would like it all in one process so I don't get confused and screw something up or get something out of order. Thanks in advance |
Re: Completely reload hero to default and reflash
thats easy .look at Thacounty fixes listed in this thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=90380 .the stock RUU will restore it back. as well as checking the thread for the apps2sd

Re: Completely reload hero to default and reflash
ok so if i get what you are saying I would;
1) Partition to a single partition, and Format sd card so it is empty (or use new sd card) 2) Reload the stock RUU 3) Root the phone 4) Partition SD card for apps2sd 5) Flash with Fresh or a new ROM 6) Start installing apps/themes/and what not Is that order right? Thats what I am assuming I should do. I also read on xda and other posts that some people will set sizes for the partitions, is that neccesary? and/or does it actually offer a performance advantage? |
Re: Completely reload hero to default and reflash
