Flip Clock/Weather widget problem

I had deleted the flip clock b/c the weather refused to update. I went back and put it back on and the weather does not show up on the widget now. I have to open up a seperate weather widget on the screen. I've played around with the settings and haven't found a way to remerge the two.

I called HTC directly and the rep i spoke with was dumbfounded. Had no idea what was wrong and told me that the only way I could fix this is to do a full system restore. I would prefer not to do that so if anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appriciate it.

May be a dumb question but have you powered off and back on? I notice sometimes when i update the weather, it wont show on the clock without a soft reset.

Yeah, I've rebooted a couple of times. I've rebooted with and without the widget installed. The entire bottom of the clock is empty. No city, date and/or weather is visible.

Re: Flip Clock/Weather widget problem

the htc weather clock is buggy at best. I always have a clock that shows a hour back when I go to another city. to fix your problem, go into the weather page by hitting the bottom of the clock, then hit refresh to get updated weather, then go back to the home screen and just wait and the clock should update the weather after about 10 seconds. hope this helps

Doesn't work. When I tap the bottom of the clock, it only brings up the clock settings. Nothing else.

Are you rooted and running a custom rom?

No and I answered too quickly last time. It works they way you stated as long as I pick one of the cities that is on their list. If I select "Current city" or I add a city, it won't work. If I tap in the area that that the weather is supposed to be, it only brings up the clock settings. So now I'm trying to figure out how to get it to recognize my city like it did before I deleted it the first time. The individual weather app has no issues providing the info for my city.

Do you have auto updates turned on in your weather settings? Make sure you enable your GPS sat. If you don't have that on, your phone wont be found for the updates I believe. Go to menu/location/enable gps satellites. My phone did the exact same thing you are talking about. I am rooted though. Mine wouldn't even recognize the 'Current City' I ended up having to hard reset. Can you nandroid backup if you're not rooted? If so, I recommend backing up, then hard resetting, then restoring and everything should be fine?? Sorry if I am of no help.... peace-br
