samsung moment tethering

ok i have been working w/ my htc phones for the past year & now one of my lines has a samsung moment & i can't seem to figure out how to use it for tethering, phone as modem, how ever you choose to call it. i downloaded usb drivers modem drivers that had been strippd from samsung pc studio & i can get the phone to show up as a modem in device manager but when i try to creat a dun it just says the connection was unsuccessfull. i have already went into ##DEBUG# (##33284#) & clicked on "dial up netowrking" & turned it on. also went to settings > applications >development & enabled usb debugging. when i click connect on the dun i built it starts to connect onthe phone then goes back to home screen. anybody else w these issues?
