The reason why they want us to provide them with an accenture email when we make our purchase is so that they can call SPRINT and have them change our accounts to the ACCENTURE discount plan. like OP mentioned, they will not care if it is a legitimate email address or not. they just need it to call sprint and cover their butts that they were provided an accurate info from us in case Sprint asks them about it. Here is the solution for those who are worried. This is the easiest way and fastest.

Call Sprint at 866-853-4931 to convert your account to Accenture discount plan. Just tell them you are in the process of upgrading your phone and you were told to call to convert to your new corporate discount. Tell them right away you were given a HIERARCHY CODE.-- NAAND_ZZZ_CRI -- by giving this code, they will not question you wether you work for Accenture or not. Once this is done, you can submit the order or just call in. Your account will convert into ACCENTURE discount plan immediately.

This will save them the time calling Sprint and converting the account themselves. once they see your account as Accenture account, they can place the order the same day. I converted my account and place the order yesterday and getting the phone today. talking about procrastinating for christmas gift for my wife.

Oh and ofcourse, you have to convert your SERO plan to an EDP to do all these.
I just called the number and applied the discount to my account... mind you i placed my order on the 30th and the ticket is still in the '"open" status... so im just hoping tomorrow they will hopefully get to my order and see that im already on the accenture discount plan and SEND the phone already... helped them through a step i guess.

I recommend doing this asap, it takes 3 mins. Make sure you tell them you have a hierarchy code before they ask for an email or even the code for that matter so they wont even think of an email... and if they did (kinda) like in my situation, they wanted an email to send the confirmation, i pretended my home email (my only primary email) would be better than work email, the rep said that would be fine.

yea when i used hierarchy code she didnt even ask for an email, she just asked what company i worked for. but said it would take 60 days, did your rep say it would take that long??

are we able to apply more then one of the discounts? or does sprint catch this?

I've already got a discount from my credit union 15%, but want to apply the 27% off in conjunction with it.

Well HERE is the LATEST update to all you new guys like myself trying to get on the bandwaggon. it's Tuesday Jan 5th 2010 at 11:29am. I just got off the phone with SPRINT and I DID call the above referenced nuber using the HIERARCHY CODE provided above.
Yes it will get you the discount on your plan.. which is COOL.. *** BUT *** You do NOT get any of the phones at $29.99 hell the lowest they still are showing is $179 and that is AFTER a $100 rebate.

So if there is some other "Rabbit Hole" to go get this phantom phone Deal.. I would love to know the STEP by STEP way on obtaining it.

Otherwise.. all you or anyone one here is only getting the discount on their current plan.. which is nice.. but the phone being under $50 bucks would be a true Christmas Miracle.

You cant apply multiple discounts on plans.. it's either 15% or 27%. Sorry.
(I used to work at Sprint so i know these little facts)

No it only entitles you to the 27% discount on your bill. Which is good.. but like YOU I was hoping for the phone
