Well crap haha. I'm stumped. Maybe you can ask flipz, he has the version of WiFi Tether. Try using WPA again and see if it works. It may say unsecured network, but see if it can surf that way too.

I dont have the option for WPA

Sorry it is WEP. Hit menu - preferences - enable WiFi encryption and change the passphrase. See if that works.

Yes mine connected when i enabled the option but it didnt ask for teh pass

Well I think I got the Access Control thing to work, basically when I turned it on, then connected my laptop, my phone notified me that the laptop had connected. So I did NOT check the check mark on the Access Control page for the laptop I was trying to connect. So I guess it is working...?

Can you surf without it checked?

No, if I don't put a CHECK in the box for the pc trying to connect, then it cant surf the net.
