SWYPE problems

I have bought a phone new from a dealer, it had swype installed, phone had to be sent in for warranty work, so I sent the program that was located under my device in the programs file, copied it to my sd card, now get phone back copied back and nothing except unsucessfull install WTF?
So I emailed the sellor he sent me the cab file, i installed it back on sd card and same thing unsucessfull, now someone else sent me the newest swype file, and same thing there won't install. AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG HERE?
