May be your area is getting HSPA+, sounds like a data issue.

the rep i spoke with claims that it has nothing to do with hspa+, but i think it does. it will update other cities, just not my location. hopefully, someone will get it fixed soon!

I do hope that this gets fixed soon because getting the weather is not a big deal but it is a built in part of the phone and, I had to take the weather off the main screen
and I miss it....

UPDATE: the weather panel is now working!! but now the time is off by 3 hours lol! what's up with t-moblie!!

it's happening to sprint and vzw tp2 also. there's a thread about it over there. it's been happeing to mine for about 3 or 4 weeks now. i went to the verizon store and same problem on display model. They even sent me a free replacement phone and it had same problem, as i figured it would. Whats odd is, if you force the phone to 1x, problem gone and it updates just fine.

Sounds like their data network either has the time zones or regional information incorrectly entered onto their computers and that incorrect data is what gets sent to your phones. That's just a guess but based on what I know about comm. tech that HAS to be the issue.

I have had NO issues with the weather tab but I am NOT using the stock rom. I'm guessing you guys are only having issues with stock roms.

I'm guessing you guys have tried flashing different radio's and such?

To the OP. This must be a huge pain because the stock t-mobile build is a really great build sorry to see your issues with it hopefully my insight helps a little.

i just left t-mobile again, they can't figure it out. it's the my location that's not working, if i manually enter my city, everything is fine. on my location, it just says mostly sunny with showers, no temp. if i update it, i only get 4 days instead of 5 and it still won't update. but i'm constantly getting the "h" and my web is much faster, so maybe they're updating us to hspa+ and that's the reason.

Have you tried wiping the device completely relocking flashing to shipped etc all that good stuff?

I get the H but it's HSDPA. I'd find out what kind of network stuff they're working on in your area, I doubt it would tell you anything but at least you'd know if you're just getting a stronger regular signal and getting HSDPA...or if they're in fact doing the HSPA+ upgrade in your area.
