Swype?
 

Can anybody that has the TMobile HD2 confirm whether or not it was shipped with Swype? The demos the stores have do not have it.

Yes Swype is installed on the phone.

the swype from the omnia or the new one?
the new swype really sucks bad and I prefer the one from the omnia 10 ways till sunday

The "about" section is greyed out Noir so i'm not really sure...

day and night
get the old cab pulled from the omnia and use it on the tp2
then get the new cab...then come back...swype as an experience with the update could be one of the worst experiences I have ever had. But the original swype cab just plain impressed me

I get you don't like it, but WHY?

What did they change? Is it response, keyboard layout, something else specific?

I just installed the newest version that doesn't break the TP2 and from initial use thought it was better. the keyboard is smaller/more narrow, and makes swyping quicker because you aren't moving your fingers as far.

As for the overall technology, I don't see much different, other then it's much snappier and seems to pick up my words when purposefully mis-swyping better then v2 did.

movement is easier I admit but word prediction is awful with the new build. 2.0 almost was scary accurate and gave me a much easier experience as a user that has tapped either on an iphone or winmo or even android device
swype 3.9 has given me a lot of headaches and I found myself watching the tutorial time and time again saying I did that and its not working - wth!?
Luckily I always go back to swype 2.0 and everything is almost perfect in that the predictive text entry is completely awesome
