evo on cellcom?

I have a friend of mine that acquired an EVO and was wondering if its possible to make it work with his cellcom provider. Is this possible? I did a few days of searching before posting but didn't come up with any answers.

should be possible, they're cdma... here's a thread about metro, goes pretty deep into the details about flashing to another carrier.
