The thing I'm finding hard to grasp is Dr. Dre's fault in all of this. You M$#her F%&$ers act like you forgot about Dre.

It's Dr. Dre's fault for making me want to see what beats is about and how it would sound on my EVO. If it hadn't been for that, I would have never tried to switch my ROM. Plus I had to blame someone. LOL

When it was pointed out to me logically that Dre's Headphones were a sub of Beats it all made sense. The truth of the matter is I was really too lazy to read the whole post, and ctrl F "Dre" didn't bring up anything other than headers...

Engadget did a detailed look into the Dr.Dre thing

Summary: aka its all a gimmick. Just an ordinary EQ profile tweaked to their headsets and certain types of music. If you want real quality music you need a phone with a good DAC, no amount of software will fix generic hardware.

If audio is all you care about and don't plan on activating the phone, then see if someone will exchange your evo for an epic/vibrant/fascinate/captivate/mesmerize, then flash a voodoo sound compatible kernel and get voodoo sound on the market. Then you can hear the magic of Wolfson's WM8994 DAC at work...
