What do you mean by stock gb? AOSP roms (roms w/o without sense) are literally stock gingerbread. It's what you would get on a actual Google phone (ex. Nexus).. barebone Android.

Re: HTC EVO 4G Gingerbread Update?????

This update to the update was to fix some issues that came with the OTA GB rom. Honestly people should have known that by accepting the OTA your phone was going to be locked and not be able to flash to another rom, and I really don't think that the update to the update that came out made it any worse than what it was as for rooting, you was pretty much screwed in the first place if you took the OTA. I think what Pinguo was asking was there a way to uninstall the update to the OTA and I believe the answer is no.
