I think I screwed up my phone

I originally rooted (Stock Print ROM) my EVO back in August 2010 because I wanted to use the "Wireless Tether". I haven't done any updates since. Since I only used the "Wireless Tether" program a couple of times I decided that I would just do the latest OTA update and didn't mind that I would lose root because I really didn't need it anyway. Well here is where my problem starts...
The OTA downloaded and looked like it was installing. Next my phone re-starts and it comes to a white screen with the following on it:

Supersonic EVT2-2 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.97.0000
MICROP-041f
TOUCH PANEL-ATMELC03_16ac
RADIO-2.15.00.09.01
Aug 19 2010,14:29:00

FASTBOOT
<VOL UP> to previous item
<VOL DOWN> to next item
<POWER> to select item

BOOTLOADER
REBOOT
REBOOTLOADER
POWERDOWN

It will not do anything after this... Am I hosed? Can anyone tell me how to get past this... I don't care if I lose root or not, however I did see a thread that has the latest version of the OTA rooted "New Stock Gingerbread ROM 4.22.651.2 6-3-2011" and can go to that.

Re: I think I screwed up my phone

When I do that, I get the EVO splash screen and then the same screen re-appears.

Re: I think I screwed up my phone

You still have the old bootloader so you should be ok. Copy the rom of your choice onto your sd card. If it is a pc36img.zip make sure it is on the root of the sd card. Reboot the phone and it should load the same screen but this time ask if you want to apply the update. If the rom is just a zip file, scroll down and select bootloader, and then look for recovery. If you boot into recovery you should have the option to flash a zip, which would be the rom you copied onto your sd card. That should at least get you back to having a functioning phone.

Re: I think I screwed up my phone

Let me see if I understand this correctly. I can download the zip file (/supersonic_4.22.651.2_odexed_060511-signed.zip) and place it on my sdcard in the root directory. Then select the "recovery" option and have it use that zip file to restore my phone to working condition. Is this correct? If so, will I have to update radios or anything after that?

Yes that should work. I do not think you will need to update the radios.

Re: I think I screwed up my phone

I'm off work now so I can concentrate on this now. How do I go about doing RUU from the PC? I guess you can tell i'm a kind of a NOOB here... I used SimpleRoot the first time but that was almost a year ago... I'm getting old.

When I hook the phone up to my computer it tries to install a driver for "Android 1.0"? Do you know what this is? I have the ADK installed on my computer but it won't let me use the drivers found under the "usb_driver" sub directory for this device.
