I just rooted another Evo 4G and tried to run this kernel, but it gets stuck at the EVO 4G screen.

thanks. works for me. I have a 16g class 4 card for my evo. before fix the speed test showed 3mb write and 5 mb read. It also classified my card as a class 2 card. WTH. After fix my speed test showed 5mb write and 11 mb read. It then correctly classified my card as a class 4 card. nice find. Thanks again : )

alot of times when flashing a kernel you need to wipe dalvik cache
