Honestly with the Charging port being a know issue, shouldn't be a problem. besides, they will simply see it doesn't work and either fix that or swap you out with another Evo.
As well, I have never know Sprint Tech's to give you a replacement then come at you later for water damage, voided warrenty or anything after the fact of you having the new device |

i unrooted my evo without the usb. is your S-Tool ON or OFF? I couldn't load up the pc36img.zip file when the S-Tool was ON. Turn it off then it should work.
