Re: Evo Battery Saves a Man's Life!
Sprint did replace his EVO free of charge.
Our HTC EVO 4G has earned honors from media and third-party experts across America – and now it’s saved one user’s life. John Garber was outside of the Halo Lounge in Atlanta, working his valet job for National Parking when he heard five gunshots. One of the bullets ripped through his jacket, bound for his chest – before being blocked by his HTC EVO 4G. The phone acted like a bullet-proof vest. "I felt the bullet go through my jacket, but couldn't feel a wound," Garber told the Atlanta NBC station. "Thank God there wasn't one." Police believe the shots were fired by two men who had been kicked out of the nightclub earlier in the night. Officers believe Garber was a random victim and not an intended target. Detectives still have his phone, but John Garber is keeping the bullet-dented battery. We recently met with John and replaced his HTC EVO free of charge. |

Re: Evo Battery Saves a Man's Life!
I'm not sure how it can be a DROID since the bottom of the story says that Sprint is replacing the phone free of charge. So you'll have to take a bullet for Sprint to replace something. Any other time they'll claim water damage and make you go through hoops.
