Yeah I was following the thread, but had issues with the adb_shell seeing my device... not sure what to do from there...

I'm rooted now, just want to go back and get them (rsa) (if they're still there)

If someone could be very kind, help me take the plunge by pointing out which threads would help me out the most. Also feel free to recommend kernels, ROMs, radios, etc for me to test out once I'm ready to go. I've already had my eye on the Super Battery Saver kernel thread.

Thanks in advance.
I was extremely hesitant too. Took me about 2 months and I went for it. You'll be fine.

BTW, I havent had any luck with the new kernels. But you might. Good luck

I'm glad it worked for you. I'm all about 1 click simple methods... but you should try flashing something through Clockworks recovery or restoring a nand back up. A lot of people are having issues with that... I believe unrevoked team just put out an update adressing the issues.

In my case and plently of other users.... stick to Amon_RA recovery!

Roger the Amon. There is an update and I have attached it to a couple of posts. With the UnRevoke's ClockworkMod, I was able to root my daughter's phone but couldn't get into Recovery until I flashed Amon's latest.

I don't trust the Nandroid BU with CW. Too many horro stories of lost RSA keys. Nothing against Kouch. Just saying.

Re: I'm rather hesitant about rooting...

Ok apparently my troubles arent over yet... I'm attaching a pic of the issue.

Seems like something isnt right with my root, anytime I do a root required funtion I get a 'popup' window asking me to confirm the action. In the bottom right is a 10 second countdown timer that auto-closes the app if no action is taken.

Let me tell you, When doing my first backup using Titanium Backup... literally for every app+data file it required me to confirm past 3 (THREEE!) of these screens. For. Each. App/setting/ect. All 231 of them! 45mins later... lol

So is anyone familiar with this issue and a fix? I'm sacred to do anything like re-root or something but it's also not a liveable situation either. Halp

Re: I'm rather hesitant about rooting...

Go into recovery if you have the latest AMON and run FixPermissions. If you are on Clockwork recovery (meaning you did not install Amon_RA) download Rom Manager and run fix permissoins. Also, download Titanium and install it and when you open it, click the problems button. (updates your busy-box command interpreter)
