Custom boot animations for EVO.How to ?
 

I unzipped stock animation replaced 1 image and zipped back and its stopped working.Image is the same 480x800 png.I tryed to apply read only attribute too.

I thought its because of permissions,so I changed them to rw-r--r-- with root explorer (just like before I touched it) still no go...

Same thing with apk.If I replace a single image inside,it will not install.

Whats the trick?

BootAnimationPreview.1.5.exe plays it fine,but EVO does not

Hey Vin....Check this out. File Permissions - Learn Linux It should show you what you need. Also, are you rooted? If you are this an app ( i can't remember what its called) that will give you the CLI and you can run many commands from the phone.

Yes,Im rooted and I have Root Explorer
I want to repack some apk and zips.Hate those start menu icons

For example if I unzip bootanimation.zip and rezip,its not gonna work because my winzip will change permissions.
Same thing with apk.Once I change 1 image inside and zip it,its not going to install
Can I do this with command prompt?

Well, even when I reset the permissions to the same as the working bootanimation.zip, I could never get it to work. Acts like it is reading through the images (same time delay) but all I get is a blank screen.

Why? Just select the file in Root Explorer with a long press and open the permissions box and set them.
