Re: sd card after update.

The most common fix for SD Card is to reformat it. Place it in your PC, copy the entire card to the hard drive then reformat it, install it on the phone and see if it mounts.

Re: sd card after update.

I was thinking of suggesting that to him as a last resort. He told me he had a ton of pictures on it he wanted but oh well. thanks. I'm guessing by the lack of responses that this is kind of uncommon for the sd card to become corrrupted like that. I guess it might be a good idea to regularly back up your sd card to a folder on your desktop in case this were to happen. I have so many songs and videos on my sd card I would really be pissed off if my card malfuctioned in anyway. Merry Christmas all and a safe New Year : )

Re: sd card after update.

When you mount the card in your PC, does you computer see it? That is where you need to start. If you cannot mount the card, you have lost all the data for all practical purposes.

The data you love may still be there but you can't touch it with a stick.
But if you can see the data, copy the card to your PC.
