whats up
i noticed today that my phone cant or wont send sms while I'm in call. is this a problem with the phone or the network? thanx

I believe that you either need to be connected 4G or Wifi to be able to do both at once.

rebot doesnt help, and i was on wifi. i can recieve msgs but cant reply when in call

well cdma calls still use 1x, but you should be able to do sms and voice simultaneously. mms is a different beast however.

are you in a weak signal area, or possibly roaming?

you need to be on 4g or wifi in order to surf the web and make calls, but texting while on a call should work fine without either.

The only reason you should run into a problem sending a text while on a call is if you are trying to send a photo or video in the message. In this case, it still needs data to send the file. I have run into this problem before, and oddly enough, turning 4G on didn't help. Message sent fine on its own as soon as I hung up though...
