Works fine on mine, no 4G or wifi involved. I never knew I could even do this until I tried it today.

OP, are you rooted? Are you running a custom rom, if so which one?

why on earth would you need 4G OR Wifi to send a text while on a call, BOTH use 1X....

Obviously if its not working, then somethings up, but I dont know what lol
