Accidentally reflashed my phone last night

Installed amon_ra Recovery and rebooted. Wasn't paying attention and trigger a flash of a PC36IMG still on my card. I was the latest Sprint Lover's that I had flashed a couplr weeks ago.

What sucks is that I spend hours getting my phone set up like I want it. I have sinced renamed PC36IMG to xPC36IMG.

I have always kept a copy of the last ROM I've installed on my SDCard. My belief was that if I got myself in a bind, I can easily reflash, even if I can't make an ADB connection. But now I am not sure if it is a good idea.

Also, I can name that file anything and just use recovery to launch it, right? I have always named it PC36IMG but as long as I name it to a zip file, that should not matter.

Re: Accidentally reflashed my phone last night

you should be able to FLASH the other ROM back without wiping data and have all your settings back immidiatly. It would be a good idea to rename the file. You can rename it back if you need from EVO itself or from PC with SD card reader, no adb needed.

Re: Accidentally reflashed my phone last night

Why not use Rom Manager? To me its a lot easier than using recovery manually, and you don't have to keep your zips on the root of the card to install them. And you're right, as long as the ROM is a zip file, you can just flash it from recovery, or ROM manager. It doesn't have to be named PC36IMG.

I've heard that before, but what exactly makes Clockwork weaker? I use it with no issues.

For one thing, it doesn't have an option to wipe Dalvik
