Android GPS question

Ok so yesturday i updated to the new PRL update ( 72 I believe )
So before i could have the GPS on with only the circle icon on the taskbar menu and when i turn it off i get the line through it as being off.

Now i have GPS on and i get the circle icon and the GPS Satellite icon, when i turn it off the sat goes off with a line through the circle.

Before i use to have GPS on with the circle and i would only get the satellite dish when i would open google maps.

You get the little satellite dish when ever the phone is actively using the gps positioning. The circle doesn't mean your gps is on it just means that your gps is available to your programs for use as needed. A lot of times your programs will use cell towers and wifi position. The little circle is not really gps, it is location services.

PRL doesn't have anything to due with GPS. It only allows you to roam on preferred towers.

Ok everyone, i've narrowed it down. This happens when i turn on Iheart Radio.

when i launch this app the sat dish icon comes on. funny things is i can turn off the GPS and i heart still works so im not sure why the icon comes on when i launch Iheart.

anyone else.

it's automatic. I have had it reach into the middle of a word and *** out what it didn't like.
