Just went over 9mbps on my evo!!!!
 

I have just passed the 9mbps mark on my Evo on 4g. I am very surprised that it has reached this speed. I am wondering if anyone has passes 10mbps? Screenshots would be nice to see as well.

Your speeds seem pretty stable thought. Mine was fluctuating a bit. Maybe it has to do with 4g still being in testing phases in Los Angeles. Congrats on breaking the 10Mbps mark. :thumbleft:

I have gotten over 10 a couple of times here in atlanta, but I have no screen shots. At my house the signal is pretty week but I still manage to get about 5 to 7 down. If I go about 200 feet to the end of my block I get full bars and 9 to 10 down just about every single time.

Mine been passing 11 mps the past 3 days but not using the speedtest app using speackeasy site speedtest.net sucking on some servers atm

Wow that's a damn shame! I work in the heart of downtown Washington DC ( about 5 blocks from the White house to be exact) and my 4G speeds have never gone pass 4.5mbps

The speed test in the speedtest.net app can vary a lot depending on which server it connects to. In St Louis, connecting to the St Louis server I would get 2mbps on average, but I have got over 9mbps connecting to the wichita, ks server. You can select which server you connect to in the settings tab.

there is a section of astoria Queens in ny that you get full 4g signal. i've run speakeasy test and have gotten 12.5mbps down and around 1.2mbps up. next time i am in that area i will post screen shots.

I flew into DCA two weeks ago and I was getting about 6mb down in and around the airport area and at the hotel I was staying at which wasn't to far away.

dont' mean to hijack or anything, but what do you guys use to screen cap, in case some ppl do want to screen cap stuff like download speed?

Forgot what the app was called, like shake something. Icon is a purple camera.

I got mine in bensonhurst. Though I peaked at 10, its a consistent 7 and 8. Speakeasy is way more accurate right? I heard bad things about speedtest

Just for completeness, I also hit about 2.1Mbps on 3g which is nice as well.

I think they will at least for the most part, I travel alot and there have been many places where I have gotten a 4g signal but when I look at the 4g coverage map there isn't any 4g coverage anywhere in sight. So it seems like they are really trying to get things up and running nationwide.

On Speakeasy I hit 10.9, then on speedtest I hit 7.8. Speedtest sucks for me. It also depends on the server, I get better numbers with distant servers

Just flew in to laguardia in new york and i am getting about 8mb down consistently.

I hit 10.75 once, thought I took a screenshot, but apparently I didn't. I do have a screen of 10.03. However, I've gone back to that spot and can only pull like 7-8 now :<

I finally got (or noticed) 4G in my house this weekend. I'm showing 2-3 mbps, depending on the test. I wonder if this will get better as the network is further developed.

I dont even use it that often because of battery life. Over 10mbs isnt that cool... :D
