Problem Emailing Video From Phone (Too Large)

I'm having a problem trying to attach a video that I've captured on my evo and email it out from the phone. The video is taken in 720p but is only 42mb in size. In fact even if it's a 3 sec video I still get the message that the file is too large to attach. I'm trying to use the gmail app to mail out the email. Any suggestions?

Re: Problem Emailing Video From Phone (Too Large)

didn't know that about the tiny cap on gmail attachments. I tried using the HTC mail app but haven't had any luck. It is set up and I can mail myself a email with text only, no attachments, but I'm still waiting on the email with the video to come through. Maybe I'll set up my way old aol account on it and see if that works. Disappointing though that on an all google device I can't take a video and use google to send it out to people with out a 3rd party app.

42mb attachment!! Is this a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer production. A lot of ISPs limit you to 5 mb. I have filmed for 20 minutes and created videos smaller than that.

LOL not MGM. It's a 45 sec video using the 720p setting. New to the phone so I'm trying to figure out how many seconds I have to keep my videos to in order to email out a 720p vid.

I'll probably wind up uploading to flicker/youtube/dropbox but I'd still like to know if anyone knows the mb cap for attachments using HTC mail. I'm thinking I read 40mb but can't confirm. I'm trying to send a 39.1mb video to myself so I'll let you know.
