use handbrake for the convert...

just use the universal ipod preset...and you should be golden.

as for the rip...there's a freeware out there called dvd rip...it is supposed to be paired up with a compression program...which skips my mind.

go to lifehacker.com...and search for handbrake...you should be able to find the rip program.

I will. If you own the DVD, it's legal to put it on any device you also own, make a backup, etc. Do you also pipe in the the phone call recording threads, with less than accurate knowledge, just to stir the pot, or out of an inaccurate sense of self-righteousness?
