I like DVD Catalyst 3 but Handbreak is also good. I use both DVD Catalyst to make archival backups or to Rip my own videos.

Re: Whats the best for ripping DVDs for my EVO?

I use dvd catalyst, it's only 10 bucks for the pro version. It can boost volume plus it has the option to crop the movie to fit the evo screen. It's awesome and the quality is great. Takes a little while to figure out the settings, once you have them in it's plug and play. They have a trial you can try, just use the htc incredible profile, it's the same resolution as the evo. I set my video setting to 2-pass and it usually takes a few hours to rip. I try to keep my movies around 700-800 meg for a 2 hour movie looks great. Make sure to do a volume boost, I set my to 10.
