App sharing, success stories..??

I've tried twice to send my bro the beautiful widgets apk from my phone through the messaging client, and he said he didn't get it either time... So I'm wondering is this something that's usually pretty solid for most people..?? Or is it pretty hit or miss for the vast majority..??

I sent the Key Ring app to my friend through GMail. It basically just sent her a direct link to where it is on the market.

The App Share client on the Evo only sends the Market link to the app, not the .apk file...

Ohhhh, that's kinda weak cuz I don't get barely any of my shit off the the Marketplace... =(

Thanks for clearing up that part for me.. Now only if we had an "apk" sharing app that would be tight...

Is it the same for the Epic? Because my friend who I just sent the app to through app sharing has a Epic.

App Share does not come on the Epic like it does on the Evo. But you can download App share from the Market and put it on the Epic. App Share only sends the Market links for the apps.

The Epic comes with AllShare, which allows you to play files from the Epic to another device through WIFI. The All Share apps preloaded on the Evo and Epic do different things....

Considered using "Dropbox"? You can send them the link to your file or the file itself.

If only our phones came with an email client it would make it fairly simple :/ lol
