Re: EVO as ipod replacement?

Itunes Agent is the closest alternative to making the Evo an Ipod. It works well with syncing what I want it to sync. Just a thought for ya.

Re: EVO as ipod replacement?

personally I don't think the evo has what it takes to be a music device.
the integrated headphone amp is junk, it can't even drive some of my less sensitive phones without distortion. BOOOOOO!!!!
I tried with both my Shure E4c's and some nice sennheiser circumaural phones (PC350).
I'm going to try with my etymotics next week but frankly it just doesn't seem like it can do it.
now if you're listening on el-cheapo iPod headphones you're probably OK but if you know what music should sound like you wont be happy.

I have ER-4s and they sound very flat with no equalizer.

Re: EVO as ipod replacement?

Just buy and extra battery and charger of ebay for around 10 buck, headphones 30 bucks, and a 16b sd card 25 bucks..

You won't regret it. Works for me.

Re: EVO as ipod replacement?

I use my Evo to hook into my aux port on my car stereo, and also hook into the aux port on my treadmill. I think it sounds good, but I'm not an audiophile, and I've never plugged in an apple product into the same setup, to see if it sounds any differently. I do hope Google puts code into their OS to allow to be controlled by radios/docks/etc.
