How many people can connect to free wireless wifi tether at once???

basically thats wut i want and need to know... just moved into a new apt and dont have internet until wed. i can connect both me and my roommate need internet for facebook and stuff.. so how many at once???

I know you can have at least 3... I never tried more.

im rooted and on stock rooted froyo and wifi hack its awsome but minor issues plus i have 4g here yay
