For what ever reason the VM app will not download my VMs. I tried resting the phone by taken out battery and still get no luck. any idea? My Phone is 100% stock. Man this is driving me crazy i would like to fix this with out reformatting the whole phone. I know if i call sprint after they do there BS TS they will just end up formatting the phone.

I'm having the same problem. Visual voicemail tells me that I have voicemail that can't be downloaded.

Guess Sprint is having issues. I'm also stock 2.2

just worked on 3g so I dunno what is going on now suddenly on the other evo it said new voice mail (sent one from one evo to another) so I am starting to think its a sprint issue.

Was able to download the update when the phone was connected to both WiFi and 4g. Let's see if this solves the original problem

Re: VoiceMail

Well I just got the update and that didnt seem to have any affect on the problem. Well at lease it good to know is not just my phone. I hope is really something on there servers and not our phones. Let me know if the update fixed this problem. I will be calling sprint and sending and email to HTC support. You know how this companys work the more people calling with the same problem the faster they get to working on it.

try calling tech support at spirint tel them to reset ur data profile or do a ##3282# then edit put ur msl code if u know if dont ask sprint to get it for u then select data profile then hit menu then restore its not a hard reset and see if that works for u

Re: VoiceMail

VM seems to be working fine for me today and I am running V.5.1.0.34.

Just to be safe, I did an update profile after updating VM.

Re: VoiceMail

Re-activate your Visual Voicemail account. This will force the Voicemail client to send an activation message to the Server again. Once re-activated, all pending messages should be able to download again.

Option(1):
- Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/Voicemail/Clear data
- This will wipe out your old Inbox messages but your filesystem will come clean

Option(2):
Some suggested to use Visual Voicemail Compose screen and send it to the following address: activate@vvm.sprint.com

Are you using the voicemail widget or voicemail shortcut? If you're using the shortcut, it won't display the number of new messages.

Voicemail is working just fine for me after the update and the widget shows me the number of new VMs.

Yea, if the icon is of the vm widget, then it will show the number of new VMs. However, if it's just a shortcut to the vm app, then it won't.

Try doing it connected over WiFi. I was connected to WiFi and 4G and was able to download the update.

I'm running stock room though.
