Wireless Tether for Stock 2.1 (non-root 1.47)?
I have searched and cannot find the answer.
Does anyone know of a wireless tether method (free) that works for android 2.2 (1.47) stock evo that is not rooted?

Wireless, dont think that's possible.since you haven't updated to froyo yet though why not root?

As others have said, there is no free wifi tether program for non-rooted users. If you don't want to shell out the $30/mo for the Sprint Hotspot, get one from the market. It will be a one time fee, and you are good to go.
Once a root exploit is discovered, and you want to root your Evo, you can go with WiFi Tether for Root Users. It works great and it's free (donation based).

If you are on 2.1 in a 4g area wifi tethering is still free. Atleast I still get it for free

roots easy for 1.47 than you can tether after
my sig and 1.47 ruu is easy to make it back to stock
